Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data SchemaTools collects, why, who we share it with and what
rights you have. It applies to the website schema-tools.net, the web
application and the RevitSchemaExporter add-in (the "Service").
1. Data controller
The Service is operated by Ertuğrul Aygündüz, Ümraniye, Istanbul, Türkiye, who is the data
controller. Contact: schematoolssupp@outlook.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: when you sign in with Google or with email and password, we receive your
name, email address and (for Google sign-in) profile picture through Google Firebase Authentication.
- Profile (optional): first name, last name, company and profession, if you fill them in.
- Projects: the schematics you create (floors, risers, branches, fixtures, notes and
settings), stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and linked to your account.
- Teams: team name, members' email addresses, roles and pending invitations; team
schematics record which member last edited them.
- Credits and purchases: your credit balance, credits used for exports and purchase records
(amount, date, pack). We never see or store your full card details.
- Feedback: messages you send through the in-app feedback form, the screen you sent them
from and, if you allow it, your email address so we can reply.
- "Help us improve" (opt-in only): if you turn it on, we receive anonymous statistics about
imported schematics: how the schematic was made (Revit / Excel / by hand), the system, riser and branch
names, fixture types and counts, the number of undo actions and, for Revit imports, family/type names,
room names, pipe sizes and Revit description fields. These records are not linked to your
name, email or account ID and do not include project or file names, drawings, coordinates or usage time.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
- AI-assisted features (if you use them): the tables, text or images you submit are sent
through our Cloudflare proxy to Anthropic to produce schematic data, only at the time of your request.
- Revit add-in: the add-in reads plumbing data from the open Revit model on your computer
and hands it to the web app through a local connection (127.0.0.1). Nothing is sent to us until you import
the schematic in the web app.
- Smart3DView add-in: Smart3DView works entirely on your computer; your Revit model, geometry and
pictures are never uploaded. For license activation and an approximately weekly validation it contacts our payment
provider Polar (api.polar.sh) and sends only the license key and an anonymous device code (a one-way hash, not your
computer or user name). The trial start date and license status are stored on your computer.
- Data stored on your device: preferences, interface language, open tabs and a local copy
of your work are kept in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and we
do not use third-party analytics.
3. Why we use your data (legal bases)
- To provide the Service: create your account, save and sync your projects, run team sharing, manage
credits and deliver purchases (performance of a contract).
- To answer support requests and feedback, keep the Service secure and prevent abuse of free credits
(legitimate interests).
- To improve fixture recognition and the Service using anonymous statistics (your consent, which
you can withdraw at any time).
- To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not use your projects to train
AI models.
4. Who we share data with
- Google (Firebase): authentication and database hosting; Google Sheets for the anonymous
statistics described above.
- Cloudflare: proxy for AI requests (content is only passed through).
- Anthropic: AI provider, only if you use AI-assisted features.
- Payment providers: Polar (our reseller for all purchases,
acting as merchant of record) processes your payment, billing details and taxes. Card details go directly to
them, not to us. Their own privacy policies apply to the data they process.
- Your team: members of a team you join can see team schematics, members' email
addresses and roles.
- Authorities: when required by law.
5. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where
data is transferred outside Türkiye, the EU or the UK, we rely on the providers' safeguards such as standard
contractual clauses.
6. Retention
We keep your account and projects while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we
delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example payment records).
Anonymous statistics cannot be linked back to you and are therefore not deleted. Team schematics belong to the
team and remain available to its other members.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers, and database access rules limit
each project to its owner and team members. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we
work to protect your data and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or Turkish Law No. 6698 on the
Protection of Personal Data), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object
to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise
these rights, email schematoolssupp@outlook.com. We will
respond within 30 days.
9. Children
The Service is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data
from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new date and, for material
changes, notify you in the Service or by email.
