Terms of Service

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SchemaTools website at schema-tools.net, the SchemaTools web application and the RevitSchemaExporter add-in (together, the "Service"), operated by Ertuğrul Aygündüz, Istanbul, Turkey ("SchemaTools", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

2. The Service

SchemaTools is web-based engineering software for creating plumbing and HVAC riser diagrams (drainage, domestic water, ventilation and fire protection), with automatic pipe and duct sizing, Excel and Autodesk Revit import, team collaboration and export to DXF/DWG, PDF and SVG. Some features are marked as beta and may change. We may add, change or remove features at any time; where a change materially reduces paid functionality you have already purchased, we will tell you in advance.

3. Credits and payments

4. Your content

5. Engineering responsibility — important

SchemaTools is a drafting and calculation aid. Pipe and duct sizes, fixture unit totals, automatically generated routes and any AI-assisted output are produced from the data you enter and from simplified calculation tables. They are not a substitute for professional engineering judgement. You are solely responsible for checking every drawing and calculation, and for ensuring that your designs comply with the codes, standards and regulations that apply to your project, before using them for construction, permits or any other purpose. Drawings should be reviewed and approved by a qualified engineer.

6. AI-assisted features

Some features use artificial intelligence (currently Anthropic's Claude models) to turn tables or text into schematic data. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Content you submit to these features is sent to our AI provider only to process your request. Do not submit confidential information you are not allowed to share.

7. Teams

A team owner can invite members and assign roles (editor or viewer). Team schematics are visible to all members of the team. The team owner is responsible for who they invite and for removing members who should no longer have access. When a team is deleted, its schematics are permanently deleted.

8. Acceptable use

You must not: break the law or infringe anyone's rights; attempt to access other users' data or accounts; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service or bypass its security, credit or licensing mechanisms; interfere with or overload the Service; reverse engineer the Service except where the law expressly allows; use automated means to scrape it; resell or sublicense the Service; or use it to build a competing product.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, symbols, templates and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own or your organisation's business purposes. Drawings you export may be used freely in your projects.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, harm other users or the Service, or where required by law. Unless closure is due to your breach, we will try to give you notice and a chance to export your projects. Sections 4–5 and 11–14 survive termination.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that calculations or outputs will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, business or goodwill, including any loss arising from relying on a drawing or calculation without the professional review described in section 5. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the Service or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction, except that consumers may also bring claims in the courts or consumer arbitration boards of their place of residence where the law grants them that right. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
